I love this idea. What motivational strategies do you plan to use? Will they be taught school wide, in core classes or elective classes?
ReplyDeleteMegan, I have a few strategies that I have already researched and think I will use, but since I have not finished my research on the topic, I am not 100% sure about the exact strategies I will use. The strategies will be taught school wide since we are a primary school.
DeleteI think this is a great topic. Attendance is such an important issue. What kind of motivational strategies are you planning on using? Are you researching different ones?
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think attendance is a great topic as well. I am not 100% sure on the strategies that I am using yet. I plan on researching online and asking surrounding districts what strategies that they implement. I am excited about the different attendance strategies that I will become aware of through this project!
DeleteI am interested in following your research and following the results of the strategies you use. Would you mind providing some background / demographics of your school?
ReplyDeleteMy school is a Title I school that has approximately 470 Pre-K through 2nd grade students in attendance.
DeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteGreat plan! it's weel thoughtout and detailed. It looks like you have covered all the areas for varied types of data to be collected. I won't change anything. Look forward to seeing how your project progresses and your results Good Luck
Great plan Mary! Motivating students and parents is alway a difficult task. I am looking forward to seeing the strategies that you implement. My school is also a title one school peek - 5th, we use PBIS for behavior in the school. Please take a look at my action research :o)
ReplyDeleteI find your research topic very interesting and am looking forward to your updates. I am interested to see what you will be using as motivational tools and their disbursement. Will you be working with just one grade level or the entire school?
